Finance Systems and Process Analyst - Fixed Term 2 Years

Location: Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom
A temporary vacancy for an Analyst is required to join the Global Finance Team in Dundee. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and skilled Finance Systems and Process Analyst. This vacancy has been created due to the current ERP Manager and Analyst working on the roll out of our new system and the need to support our current deployment. The role will provide data management, reporting, process and systems support to all NAV users. This involves working in partnership with IT, as well as being a successful collaborator between the Sales and Finance and the Commercial Operations functions.
 
What you’ll do to succeed
 
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and process issues associated with our NAV13 & NAV17 systems
- Proactively manage ERP system data requirements
- Engage in the design and implementation of our new Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution
- Optimise the development, implementation and adoption of our current NAV systems
- Understand the importance of robust systems and processes to enable quality data driven business analysis
- Work with finance and other functional stakeholders to complete process re-engineering
 
How will you do this
 
- Be proactive and responsive resolving user problems and issues in a timely manner within the context of business priorities
- Be inquisitive and challenge the status quo
- Work collaboratively with the finance and IT teams
- Communicate application risks and issues to key stakeholders, and work with the ERP Team to resolve them
- Perform preventative maintenance and general systems housekeeping to ensure systems operate efficiently
- Ensure that all application development deliverables are quality assured (adequate unit/system testing followed by assisted user testing)

- Guide and educate Technology support in establishing first line support triage processes for NAV calls

- You’ll be self-motived and can organise own workload, complete multiple tasks on-time in a dynamic changing environment
- Ability to meet complex challenges under time constraints and when working under pressure
- Ability to work within a team or as an individual and find and resolve complex problems
 
Experience and Skills
 
- Experience as a Financial Systems user and functional knowledge
- Ability to understand and get involved in the wider business governance, controls and continuous improvements
- Preferably use of Microsoft Dynamics products like NAV 2013, 2017
- Fully qualified accountant or equivalent desirable
- Experience of project and continuous improvements as a key contributor to system changes
- MS Office with intermediate Excel knowledge (advanced is desirable)
- MI reporting and/or use of Jet Reports Essentials / Enterprise (desirable not essential)
- The individual will be a dedicated team player with a proactive approach
- Be a positive advocate for continuous improvement and business system integration
