Squad Lead (Remote/Hybrid)

We have an excellent opportunity for a Squad Lead to join our talented technology team. We are currently working on a transformational programme and are consistently looking at ways to improve their technology and data through innovative solutions.

You'll be part of a cross functional team working closely with product owners and designers to envisage and build exciting products which will play a significant role in the future of the company. Working in an agile methodology, you would be leading one of our development squads who are closely collaborating in iteratively delivering features.

You will lead a squad through the design and implementation of change to support continuous deployment.  As a role model you will promote best practices and mentor, guide and support the team on a continuous improvement basis.
To be a successful Squad Lead you will need:
  • Experience of leading software development teams
  • To be a strong people manager who can develop and manage the skills and performance of all team members
  • Good communication skills, able to lead technical discussions and able to articulate complex technical issue to someone non technical
  • Significant experience in Java or React development
  • A very strong focus on automation through the entire engineering lifecycle (development, test & deployment)
  • A strong technical viewpoint supported by the implementation of robust, scalable, and successful solutions
  • Experience of leading the use of the latest technologies to deliver cutting edge software

Other knowledge of cloud technologies, terraform and docker would be useful.
