What's the role?

The Cloud Specialist position is a key role within Enterprise Technology and will take care of all technical work related to Cloud Computing within a growing, global business. Reporting to the Lead Cloud Specialist you'll be responsible for developing and driving the successful adoption of cloud services such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure and SAAS applications. You'll work closely with the Change Delivery and Architecture teams to design, implement, and deliver our cloud services offerings as we migrate from on premise to cloud technologies to help meet our needs for robust security, reliability, and user productivity on our digital transformation journey globally.

Ideally, you’ll be based in the East Coast of Scotland so that you can travel to our H/O in Dundee on a weekly basis. We’re currently working to a hybrid model with the expectation that you'll be in the office 2/3 days a week. We supply with all the equipment you'll need to work from home and be set up for success.  

Day to day you'll

-Create technical designs in support of our Change Delivery programme working closely with our Enterprise and Security Architects
-Build and deploy technical solutions
-Support the delivery of change by working closely with the Service Delivery, Change Delivery, Service Transition and wider Enterprise Technology and business teams to ensure an effective handover
-Support the full end to end Change Delivery process
-Design and establish security controls and associated processes to meet with our security framework
-Identify issues and risks
-Provide recommendations and improvements on the current platform and deliver through continuous service improvements
-Assist in the identification of root causes and fixes for major incidents where required
-Act as a point of escalation for the team to help resolve incidents, fulfil requests, and manage the operational environment as needed

 What you’re great at

 -Demonstrating a broad range of core technical proficiencies and knowledge across the Microsoft Stack in particular Azure IAAS, Azure AD and Microsoft 365
-You'll have achieved or be working towards Microsoft AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) certification
-Hands-on experience as a System Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar with operational service experience in Azure and on-premise (networks, virtual machines, load balancers, and connection topology)
-Producing technical designs from solution design and requirements
-Building security by design
-Hands-on technical build, configuration and deployment of Cloud based solutions from technical designs
-Good understanding of the ITIL V4 Framework
