Insights are looking for a talented Lead Java Engineer to join our engineering team.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about building great customer experiences, cloud technology and creating a great engineering team and culture.

Working in an agile methodology, you'll join one of our cross function development squads,  collaborating  with Product Owners and Designers to envisage and build exciting products and features which will play a significant role in the future of the company. 

As an engineering team we have full autonomy over our technology stack, our infrastructure and even what toolkits we use, and we make sure we regularly discuss how we could improve our technology, process and culture as a team. 

You’ll suit this role if you:   

• Have core Java
• Have experience using Spring Frameworks 
• Have Functional Java (streams, lambdas, etc.) 
• Have experience in working with relational databases in a Java based application 
• Have an awareness of agile delivery 
• Have a desire to produce simple and clean code 
• Have knowledge of cloud platforms and continuous integration 
• Have experience in contribution to the direction of architecture and technology solutions 
• Can engage and lead technology based discussions 
• Have experience in working with product owners and helping articulate their vision   
• Have experience leading a technical team 
• Have experience setting the direction and strategy for a technical platform

Where you’ll work 

We have a remote first approach and most of our engineering team are remote, we do have offices that you can work in to support a hybrid model if that suits you.  We do remote right,  ensuring we are all connected and  engaged.
