Finance Analyst

What's the role? 

We’re looking for a collaborative and highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Global Finance team based in Dundee. You will be brilliant at engaging with stakeholders of all levels across the business, partnering with some of our senior leaders in order to provide monthly and annual planning and budgetary support.
You will have a solid understanding of a wide range of finance processes, including a strong background in reporting building and all associated month end activity. Ideally, you will be part, or newly qualified.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner across the business to assist in the creation of the monthly management accounts.
- Prepare monthly analyses comparing actual spend against budget, forecast and prior years, investigating variances.
- Understanding the month end and global consolidation processes and identify opportunities to streamline activities.
- Assist with the implementation of business intelligence reporting.
- Understand data flows and other finance processes with the aim of proposing and implementing improvements.
- Assist in the enhancement of reporting capabilities and minimising manual intervention by automation.
- Contribute to strategic initiative projects as required.

Experience and Skills

- An Accountancy qualification (newly qualified / part qualified finalist) or qualified by experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong Finance systems experience would be advantageous – PowerBI, Jet Reporting, Microsoft - Dynamics 365, Microsoft Navision
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to achieve buy-in from various stakeholders and collaboration of other team members
- The ability to consume / manipulate large amounts of information and articulate back to stakeholders in a clear manner
- Problem solving, questioning mind-set always thinking about continuous improvement
- Organised and able to plan to ensure delivery within agreed timeframes
- A good track record of process improvements and efficiency
