HR Project Manager - Fixed-Term Contract

Your purpose in the role 

We have ambitious growth plans and are on a journey to develop our global business significantly. The People Function is instrumental in supporting this growth and ensuring that it aligns with our vision and values. 

You’ll collaborate with the People Team and other Functions to deliver the Developing People and Culture Strategic Programme, of which there are four key elements: Creating Global Functions; Employee Value Proposition; Leadership Development; and Connecting Vision, Values and Strategy to Culture.  

The Programme will have significant and far-reaching impacts on how we work as a Global Organisation, and this is a great opportunity to work with a team drawn from across our People Function to help shape how we operate in the future. 

This role is a fixed-term contract until the end of March 2022.
 

Examples of what you’ll do to succeed 

This is a very varied role and your activities will include the following: 

  • Lead activities to develop a blueprint for a Global Functional Model (Target Operating Model) to demonstrate how our business operates in both a global and local way 

  • Develop a People Function plan to deliver global people processes and practices against the Global Functional Model 

  • Provide input and direct workstream to develop the EVP framework to ensure we attract and retain key talent  

  • Deliver an assessment of the current state against the EVP framework and agree an improvement plan for delivery of key initiatives and communications to support embedding of the new framework  

  • Support delivery of the leadership development workstream which will include development of leadership framework/behaviours and our leadership talent map 

  • Provide input to the global learning and development plan which includes incorporating Insights Discovery awareness into everyday working practices  

  • Support the Programme Manager to ensure effective reporting (plans, roles and responsibilities, risks, dependencies, stakeholder plans etc)  

 

What you’ll bring to the role 

Naturally, you’re going to need to have broad experience in the management and delivery of People related projects.  This will ideally have been developed in a globally matrixed organisation, so you understand the complexities of working in this environment, such as working with cross-functional remote international teams. 

Your communication and relationship building skills will also be key, not only allowing you to work effectively with a range of people in different teams, but also ensuring that you are able to develop clear understanding with a variety of stakeholders around actions required, and solutions being proposed. 

Not only will you be self-motivated with a drive to deliver the desired outcomes, but you’ll also need to influence and motivate others, including those in other reporting lines.  You’ll understand the need to manage competing demands and recognise the need to prioritise the most pressing issues effectively. 

Finally, you should bring an inquisitive mindset, and be able to flex your knowledge, skills, and experience where they are needed most in the Programme.
