Researchers here at Insights are part of our growing Research & Design Team, a truly cross functional team and a key part of the wider Customer and Digital Function.
The role of Research at Insights is to help the business know more about our users today, than we did yesterday, and to help the business know what questions we need to ask our users tomorrow. Their research informs proposition, service, content, and interaction design so that services work well for users and achieves our business outcomes.
Market-led Researchers at Insights focus on planning, coordinating, and running our market research projects, focusing on supporting our product testing, assessing customer preferences, evaluating competitors and monitoring customer satisfaction.
You’ll gather and work with data from various sources to ensure the business has a deep understanding of the market, our competitors, and the needs of our customers, evaluating how successful Insights is at delighting our customers and keeping up with market trends, and presenting this market intelligence in a way that customers or stakeholders can understand.
As a Lead, you’ll contribute to the work of the Research and Design community, building successful teams through understanding team styles and influencing as well as motivating team members.
What are we looking for?
First and foremost, you’ll have experience of working in research-led teams with a wide knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods and tools, knowing which to apply to any given problem space.
You’ll have strong project management and planning skills in a Customer Insight, Customer Experience or Market Research environment, with a natural ability to analyse data and look for opportunities for improvement.
You’ll be used to identifying, gathering, and reporting on relevant, reliable sources of global and regional market and competitor intel with stakeholders across the business, and have the ability to support/influence them to make the best decisions in the interest of our customers based on data.
You’ll have strong communication and presentation skills, and be able to clearly articulate ideas and recommendations, both written and verbally. You’ll be self-starting and organised, and able to respond quickly and positively to change. You’ll be a natural leader able to inspire and motivate those around you.
