What’s the job?
The role of Design is to solve problems and to ensure the solutions marry user need with deliverables that are viable to the business. In doing so Design will create useful, intuitive, innovative and delightful products that users love, by ensuring the business is identifying and asking itself the right questions, and the right rigor is applied to the products our users interact with.
As a motion led Visual Designer at Insights you’ll be part of our Research & Design team within the Customer and Digital Function. Research and Design is a cross functional team supporting Learning & Experience, Future Experiences, Marketing and Product Technology in delivering the right end to end experience for our customers and the business.
In this motion led Visual Designer role, you’ll produce media content, motion graphics and animations for products, learning, marketing and communications. You’ll implement the visual language of our brand and identity, ensuring its consistent application across products and communications. You’ll dip into all parts of the production process but have a specific responsibility for post-production and animation.
Our Visual Designers focus on the visual language of the design system, working alongside our Interaction Designers to create and amend elements of the ‘look and feel’ of our experiences.
Designers at Insights are discipline-led in a specific aspect of design but are expected to have a broad understanding and knowledge across design and research as a whole.
What are we looking for?
You’ll have experience in a similar Motion Design role and have a real passion for delivering an excellent brand experience.
You’ll have a strong understanding of end-to-end media production and specialise in post-production, editing animation and motion graphics. You’ll be a critical thinker with a natural ability to tell engaging stories. You’ll be able to explore multiple solutions for a given problem through design exploration and storyboards, to test your ideas and communicate them internally and externally.
You’ll be used to understanding and interrogating a brief and translating needs and requirements into user experiences, choosing the appropriate mediums. You’ll be a natural at visually communicating complex ideas in multiple organisational and technical contexts, knowing how to make complex information simple and accessible.
You’ll be a team player and be used to collaborating with other designers, researchers and stakeholders to take experiences from concept to delivery. You’ll embrace a culture of fail fast and learn quick, thriving in ambiguity and able to deliver in an ever-changing landscape.
You’ll have experience of using Adobe After Effect and Premier Pro and be comfortable with the Adobe suite as a whole.
