New Business Event Marketing Manager - 12 month FTC (Internal)

Your purpose in the role

The New Business Events Marketing Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of Insights global new business generation and brand awareness events. You will be responsible for engaging key stakeholders around the business to create an events strategy that services the strategic goals of teams including sales, marketing and product.

You will identify opportunities for events that drive brand awareness, visibility, advocacy, engagement and revenue. You will manage the end-to-end delivery of our new business events from strategy to execution ensuring the timely involvement of key teams such as content, design, social, facilitation and will oversee pre, during and post event campaigns. This role will also support the Customer Events Manager on education and community focussed events.


What you’ll do to succeed

  • Responsible for creating the annual events marketing strategy.
  • Create a global new business event strategy by engage key stakeholders in Marketing, Sales and Product leadership. The strategy to include creation of a marketing events calendar that aligns appropriate tradeshow and new business event opportunities with key business unit objectives.
  • Create, manage and review the new business marketing events budget
  • Project manage the end-to-end tactical elements of the tradeshow build, logistics and promotional plan to ensure each event meets its objectives
  • Work directly with the design team on event design to ensure high quality professional showcasing of our brand to prospective clients
  • Lead the on-site events team, pre, during and post to ensure high quality of discussion and standardised lead collection. Support the development of our sales teams through face-to-face client opportunities.
  • Oversee the creation of a globally consistent approach to post event lead management and lead nurture. Ensure timely assignment of sales leads and report ROI tracking
  • Present to key stakeholders, keeping them abreast of pre-event planning, strategy and ensure timely analysis and reporting on post event learns and successes.
  • Develop internal and external pre and post event communications plan.
  • Ensure timely engagement with other members of Marketing team to promote event presence via social media, email campaign or other channels. Manage the project timeline and ensure all contributors aware of their roles and responsibilities to project completion.
  • Create best practice guideline for global and regional Insights offices to support with their regional exhibitions activity to ensure consistent branding and client experience.
  • Proactively research industry events in key verticals and provide recommendations for attend only or paid presence, playing a key role in achieving new business lead generation targets. 
  • Source key partners to help deliver event strategy. Responsible for management and approval of contracts and payment for vendors as well as ensuring service levels meet the delivery expectations.
  • Collaborate with PR team to scope out speaking opportunities and submit abstracts by deadline
  • Capture post event feedback and photos for team files and future planning
  • Make recommendations for future improvement for overall process and individual events
  • Work unconventional hours while onsite to ensure the best client experience
  • Travel well (domestic and/or globally) and can work simultaneously
  • Demonstrate expert use of Hubspot to create and deliver follow up campaigns. 
  • Work with the Customer Event Manager to oversee and report on event inventory
  • Keep up to date with and support the Customer Event Manager at critical points to deliver outstanding Customer Events.

How will you do this?
