Financial Systems & Process Analyst - internal

Your purpose in the role

As a Financial Systems and Process Analyst, you will be part of the Finance Systems and Process Improvement Team and will be responsible for managing and maintaining the systems within the Finance Function at Insights. The role will provide data management, reporting, process, and systems support to all Microsoft Dynamics 365 users and will involve working in partnership with IT, as well as other functions as required. You will also play a lead role in the Global Finance Systems integration project, primarily focusing on the roll out of Microsoft Dynamics 365 to our remaining eight European Offices. This will include providing training and ‘super-user’ support.

The role will also focus on driving and supporting continual process improvement across the organisation with the aim of automating and improving processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing processing time and errors. Key attributes for this role will be to understand the way data flows from different sources and be able to challenge the status quo. You will be a key player in a team focused on identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement, automating tasks, maximising existing technologies, improving data governance and where possible standardising processes.

You will develop an understanding of upstream and downstream processes and will collaborate across the business to ensure any changes consider the implications across all functions in order to maximise any efficiency improvements.

What you’ll do to succeed
•    Optimise the development, implementation, and adoption of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ensuring that we fully utilise the capability of the system.
•    Provide finance system support to all finance users, troubleshooting problems and resolving system and process issues.
•    In collaboration with the Change Management Team, take a lead role in deploying Microsoft Dynamics 365 to our remaining European Offices, including gathering local requirements, data migration, testing and training.
•    Working in collaboration with finance and other functional stakeholders, you will proactively identify and take the lead to realise process re-engineering and system improvement opportunities.
•    Document and formalise finance processes, controls, timetables and responsibilities.
•    Communicate and train others on new methods and processes.
•    Perform preventative maintenance and general systems housekeeping to ensure systems operate efficiently.
•    Enhance reporting capabilities and minimise manual intervention by automation.

What you’re great at
•    Strong finance systems experience, preferably with working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
•    An Accountancy qualification (or qualified by experience).
•    Strong Excel skills (complex formulas, modelling large volumes of data).
•    Experience of PowerBI would be advantageous but not essential.
•    Problem solving, questioning mind-set always thinking about continuous improvement.
•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse large volumes of data.
•    Combining your knowledge of finance processes, systems, data management and your passion for improvement to help facilitate effective and long-lasting change.
•    Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to achieve buy-in from various stakeholders and collaboration of other team members.
•    A good track record of process improvements and efficiency.
•    Patiently working with and training others to ensure change is embraced and adopted.
