Your purpose in the role

The Head of Strategy and Change is primarily focused on the developing our organisational strategy and clearly communicating our progress towards the identified goals. Our business has grown rapidly, before and after the Covid pandemic, and we are now looking to take Insights to the next level of scale during the coming period of technological and market change. We are looking to establish an increasingly dynamic approach to strategy making and implementation.

In this role you will be responsible for the strategy and planning process, through challenging and supporting the Senior Leadership, Exec team and Board with the thinking, planning and decision making that translates strategy into deliverable plans and measures for the organization. You will lead our organisation level change management approach and support the development of capabilities to empower leaders at all levels of the organization to champion and drive change through our Change Practice.

You will work closely with the Change Practice Lead and with the Strategy and Change team to create our end-to-end change narrative that enables delivery of the agreed upon organizational strategy (through the change practice).

In addition, you will lead our Performance Measurement activities providing clear reporting to the business, Exec and Board. You will collaborate with our Head of Culture to develop compelling communications that engage all our people so they understand and commit to our strategic direction.

What you’ll do to succeed

You will own the strategy and planning process, facilitating the ongoing discussion around goals, OKRs, direction setting, strategic conversations, the change roadmap, and the impact of delivered change.
You will facilitate the Exec discussion on performance measurement, progress, and action planning and will be an expert in identifying critical information that is needed for exec level decision making.
You will collaborate with the Head of Programme Delivery and their team to align strategy and delivery roadmaps.
You will understand and advise on how to balance the delivery of the strategic plan with the organizations ability to consume change.
You will create insights that drive Executive action.
You will manage the Change Practice Lead to align narratives, comms and engagement related to strategy and change.
You will own and deliver the strategy process through:

Managing the prioritisation process (in collaboration with the Programme Board)
Creating insight and managing the review of performance measurement (with the Exec)

Ownership of the “now, next, later” set of initiatives, facilitating the quarterly Programme Board discussion (to assess practical delivery of the roadmap)
Owning the strategic Change narrative and leading the Change team to create impactful, consistent messaging and updates.
Maintaining strategic data sets, insights and performing horizon scanning to proactively identify potential risks.
Aligning with Futures Experiences activity and pipeline to integrate product and innovation with strategy.
